In 1692, in the Ipswich Colony of Massachusetts, five families with untold power formed a covenant of silence. One family, lusting for more, was banished, their bloodline disappearing without a trace. Until last year. Chase Collins and Caleb fought at the Putnam barn and Caleb won in the end. Chase was put into a coma. He had outside help in order to survive and to keep his life. Chase has come out of that coma and came back to get the power that he claims to be rightfully his.
As he comes back to Ipswich, the gang isn't all to worried because Caleb has ascended and could easily fight him once again. But things turn serious and Chase's old empty threats turn literal. Sarah is put into a coma that could last the rest of her life and he attempts to harm the rest of the Sons.
Time passes by and people grow older. Spencer Academy has now turned into a college. So Caleb and the rest of the boys continue to go to school and the same place they attended their high school. It is the year 2010, and the families try their best to remain a secret from outsiders. New breeds of mystical beings are arising and school is becoming a place of no trust. Vampyres, werewolves, angels and archangels are lurking in the city and students all have to become wary of eachother. There are students who are either of the new breeds and humans still remain, but not for long.
New things go on with Caleb losing his sanity as Sarah's existence fades away over all. There are rumors of the evil side rising up an army in order to defeat good and to rule over the city and later..the world. But with Caleb borderlining his understanding of things, who will be the leader to fight the ones of the darkness? Which side will you choose?
